<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser beam machine which can automatically diagnose the conditions of the machine without laying a trip on a user. <P>SOLUTION: The laser beam machine comprises a laser oscillator for outputting a laser beam, a machining lens for irradiating a workpiece with the laser beam by condensing the laser beam, a surface to be irradiated with the laser beam, which surface is arranged outside the machining region for mounting and machining the workpiece, and lower than the focus in machining the workpiece, and a diagnosis section for diagnosing the output state of the laser beam on the surface to be irradiated with the laser beam.
