A beer keg valve assembly (18) includes a port (60) having a head portion (70) having a convex upper surface and at least one leg (74) extending downwardly from a lower surface. The leg (74) includes a stop surface (75) projecting radially outward further than the head portion (70). A piston (64) defines an opening. A spring (62) biases the port (60) against a periphery of the opening defined by the piston (64) to seal the convex upper surface of the head portion (70) over the opening.
