A chain connector 1 for connecting the round links of the chains of a scraper conveyer, is of the type wherein the scraper blade is secured thereto by a bolt through apertures 4 and wherein the adjacent links of the chain pass round and through the legs 2 and is characterized in that the wearing part 8 is secured to the connector body by a part 50, the length of which approximately equals the cross-sectional diameter of connector body. Alternatively, the wearing part 50 may be a separate part secured to a projection formed on the connector body. The connector may be made as a forging or casting. |
