PURPOSE: An electric vacuum pump control apparatus for a vehicle and a fault diagnosis method thereof are provided to secure vacuum pressure for operating a brake and perform a fault diagnosis method for the electric vacuum pump. CONSTITUTION: An electric vacuum pump control apparatus for a vehicle comprises a pressure sensing unit(12), a motor driving unit(13), a power supply unit(14), a fault diagnosis unit(15), a communication unit(16), and a control unit(17). The pressure sensing unit detects vacuum pressure supplied to a brake booster. The fault diagnosis unit comprises a voltage sensing unit(21), a current sensing unit(22), and a temperature sensing unit(24) and senses the temperature of a motor driving unit and the inner space of the electric vacuum pump and the voltage and the current applied to a motor.
