896,583. Wood block floors. SMITH, W. C. T. May 9, 1960 [May 8, 1959], No. 16238/60. Class 20(4) [Also in Group XXIII] Blocks 1 are secured together in strips in chevron or other formation by a latex-based adhesive which retains its elasticity on setting so that the strips are flexible and can accommodate themselves to uneven surfaces, so that the joints are sufficiently weak to allow easy parting of the strips into required lengths and so that accumulative shrinkage over several blocks is prevented. The strips may be bonded direct to concrete sub-floors or be adhered to tongued and grooved bearer strips 17 for assembly on joists 20.
|
