A fabric softener composition comprises a carrier or bulking agent, at least one surfactant, and at least one biocidal agent. The at least one biocidal agent may be a biguanide compound, such as polyhexamethylene biguanide (PHMB) hydrochloride, a polyhexidine compound, or benzalkonium chloride. Preferably, more than one biodical agent is used. The at least one surfactant may be a quaternary ammonium salt, such as a di-hydrogenated tallow hydroxyethylmonium methosulphate. |
