PURPOSE: Catalyst for mesoporous nickel-M-alumina aerogel catalyst and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to improve the conversion rate and the hydrogen yield of liquefied natural gas without deactivation. CONSTITUTION: An aluminum precursor is dissolved in a heated alcohol solvent. Water, acid, and alcohol are mixed in a solution and partially hydrated. Transparent alumina sol is formed. A nickel precursor and a thickener precursor are added into the alumina sol to form nickel-M-alumina mixed sol. The nickel-M-alumina mixed sol is cooled to the room temperature. The sol is hydrated and condensed with the mixed solution of water and alcohol in order to nickel-M-alumina mixed gel. The nickel-M-alumina mixed gel is aged. The aged nickel-M-alumina mixed gel is dried using supercritical carbon dioxide. The dried nickel-M-alumina mixed gel is thermally treated. |
