PURPOSE: A filament manufacturing apparatus and a method thereof are provided to suppress generating the cause of a defect, such as filament twisting by heat treatment by performing heat treatment in a heat-treatment process while an insertion support part is inserted into a filament. CONSTITUTION: A filament manufacturing apparatus includes a supplying unit(30), a winding device, a cutting part, an insertion support part, and a heat treatment unit(70). The supplying unit supplies a wire material. The winding device manufactures a coil shaped filament by winding a wire material supplied from the supplying unit. The cutting part cuts the wire material, which is supplied from the supplying unit to the winding device, between the supplying unit and the winding device. The insertion support part is positioned downward of the winding device, and is inserted into the coil shaped filament. The heat treatment unit grips both leg parts of the filament wound by the winding device and performs the heat treatment of an electric flowing system by applying power on the leg parts. |
