<p>Aqueous composition comprises an ethylene oxide derivative (I) and an allyloxy derivative (II). The composition is produced by (i) ethoxylating a mixture of an ethylene oxide derivative (III) and an allyloxy-ethanol (IV) together so that the average ethoxylation degree of the (III) and (IV) is increased for at least two (EO) units per molecule to obtain an intermediate product comprising an ethylene oxide derivative (V) and an allyloxy-ethanol (IV), and (ii) sulfating or phosphatizing and subsequently neutralizing into the aqueous composition comprising (I) and (II). Aqueous composition with a Brookfield viscosity of = 000 mPas at 20[deg] C (measured at 20[deg] c and spindle-2 at 20 revolutions/minute) comprises an allyloxy derivative of formula (R-O-(EO) pX) (I) and an allyloxy derivative of formula (CH 2=CH-CH 2-O-(EO) q-X) (II). The aqueous composition comprises (I) in an amount of at least 35 wt.%, based on the total composition and the amount of the sum of (I) and (II) is 35-70 wt.%, based on the total composition. The composition is produced by (i) ethoxylating a mixture of an ethylene oxide derivative of formula (R-O-(EO) nH) (III) and an allyloxy-ethanol of formula (CH 2=CH-CH 2-O-(EO) m-H) (IV) together so that the average ethoxylation degree of the (III) and (IV) is increased for at least two (EO) units per molecule to obtain an intermediate product comprising an ethylene oxide derivative of formula (R-O-(EO) rH) (V) and an allyloxy-ethanol of formula (CH 2=CH-CH 2-O-(EO) s-H) (IV), and (ii) sulfating or phosphatizing and subsequently neutralizing into the aqueous composition comprising (I) and (II). The amount of (III) in the mixture of (III) and (IV) is at least 60 wt.%, based on the total mixture (III) and (IV). R : optionally saturated and optionally branched 8-18C alkyl; X : sulfate or phosphate, where sulfate or phosphate is present in neutral form; EO : ethylene oxide; p, q, r, s : 2-100; and n, m : 0-30.</p> |
