PURPOSE: A manufacturing method of a composite metal hydroxide is provided to increase fabrication efficiency in manufacturing a composite metal hydroxide by a co-precipitation method, and to reduce the residual amount of impurities by manufacturing a metal salt solution containing nitrate and sulfate. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of a composite metal hydroxide comprises the following steps: (i) manufacturing a metal salt solution which contains nickel nitrate, cobalt nitrate, and manganese nitrate in a reactor; (ii) controlling the pH of the metal salt solution to 10-13 while injecting a sodium hydroxide aqueous solution and an ammonia aqueous solution into the reactor; and(iii) precipitating particles of Ni-Co-Zn composite hydroxide precursor. In the step (i), the metal salt solution also contains nickel sulfate, cobalt sulfate, and manganese sulfate. In the step (i), the mole ratio of sulfate and nitrate in the metal salt solution is 1:9-9:1. In the step (i), the concentration of the metal salt solution is 1.0-8.0M.
