PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a property stabilizer, such as a pH stabilizer and a kinematic viscosity stabilizer, capable of reducing the maintenance cost of a hydrous lubricating oil in use thereof over a long period of time, and to provide a hydrous lubricating oil composition comprising the stabilizer and having excellent property stability. SOLUTION: The property stabilizer for the hydrous lubricating oil comprises an aminotetrazole-based compound which may have a 1-4C alkyl group or a 1-4C alkanol group in place of a hydrogen atom of an amino group or a salt thereof as an active component. The hydrous lubricating oil composition is characterized by comprising the aminotetrazole-based compound which may have the 1-4C alkyl group or the 1-4C alkanol group in place of the hydrogen atom of the amino group or the salt thereof.
