摘要 The invention refers to a method to determine the yaw angle of a component of a wind turbine. According to the method invented at least one receiver of an automated and autonomous positioning system is used to generate position-data of the receiver. The receiver is arranged at a wind turbine location being subjected to a yawing movement. The position-data of the receiver are used to generate a first reference axis. The first reference axis defines an actual orientation of the component in reference to a geographic direction. A second reference axis defines an orientation of the component in reference to a predefined landmark or in reference to a predefined geographic direction. The first reference axis and the second reference axis meet at a common point of intersection. The angle between the first and the second reference axis, which is measured at the common point of intersection, is determined as yaw angle of the component.
