DIAPHRAGM COUPLING

PURPOSE: A diaphragm coupling is provided to control heat transmission through a coupling by increasing turbulence around a diaphragm and supplying cooling flow into a shaft. CONSTITUTION: A diaphragm coupling comprises a coupling shaft(20), a first connector(30), a second connector(40), and a guide unit(38). The coupling shaft is arranged in between a first shaft(10) and a second shaft(12) for connecting the first and second shafts. The first connector is joined to one end of the coupling shaft for being connected to the first shaft and comprises a cooling hole(36). The second connector is joined to the other end of the coupling shaft for being connected to the second shaft and comprises a cooling hole. The guide unit is adjacent to the cooling hole and is partially protruded or entirely inclined in order to separately guide external air into the first and second shafts.
