A paging method using neighbor base station information is provided to conduct a paging process to a base station to which a mobile communication terminal belongs and a corresponding neighbor base station by using base station information stored in a neighbor list, thereby improving a paging success rate for the terminal. An MSC(Mobile Switching Center) receiving a receiving call setup request of a sending terminal obtains location information of a receiving terminal corresponding to the receiving request(S10). The MSC extracts base station information of the receiving terminal from the obtained location information, and demands reception paging to a base station controller which a base station belongs to(S20). The base station controller obtains a location of the base station, and searches neighbor base station information for the obtained base station to extract a paging target base station(S30). The base station controller performs a paging process to the obtained paging target base station and to the corresponding base station of the receiving terminal(S40). The receiving terminal transmits a paging response in accordance with a paging request to the MSC(S50). |
