PURPOSE: A device and a method using a common camera for measuring the concentration of a sample are provided to analyze lights of a large area without using an expensive camera specialized for a low light level and to measure the concentration of the sample simply with low costs. CONSTITUTION: A device(40) using a common camera(30) for measuring the concentration of a sample comprises an exposure time controller(50), a light amount measuring unit(60), and a light amount analyzing unit(70). The exposure time controller controls the camera so that the camera photographs the target sample for a first exposure period and a second exposure period which is shorter than the first exposure period. The light amount measuring unit measures a first light amount of first images which image the target sample for the first exposure period and a second light amount of second images which image the target sample for the second exposure period. The light amount analyzing unit compares the first and second light amounts by using reference light amounts according to the concentration of the target sample and calculates the measurement light amount of the target sample.
