MANUFACTURING METHOD OF POLYESTER RESIN AND PREPREG CONTAINING POLYESTER RESIN MANUFACTURED METHOD BY THE SAME

PURPOSE: A manufacturing method of a polyester resin is provided to provide a polyester resin with excellent transparency and a high melting temperature by using a monomer which includes phenyl cyclohexane. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of a polyester resin comprises a step of polycondensating a monomer containing phenyl cyclohexane under the presence of an acetic acid metallic catalyst. The polycondensation step comprises a step of primarily polycondensating the monomer including phenyl cyclohexane under the presence of an acetic acid metallic catalyst to synthesize a prepolymer; and a step of secondarily polycondensating the prepolymer by applying heat. The amount of the acetic acid metallic catalyst used is 0.01-0.1 parts by weight, based on 100.0 parts by weight of the phenyl cyclohexane monomer.
