PURPOSE: An access control method for an MTC(Machine Type Communication) in a wireless communication network and a device thereof are provided to enable an MTC device to set a connection with a base station. CONSTITUTION: A broadcasting message is received from a base station through an M2M broadcasting control channel(202). The transmission of an mRACH(m-Random Access Channel) message is determined based on the header information(204,206). The mRACH message is transmitted to the base station based on the mRACH parameters in order to set an uplink connection with the base station(210). The base station receives a resource assignment message indicating a successful connection with the base station in response to the mRACH message(212).
