PURPOSE: A large section tunnel excavation construction method and a tunnel excavation structure are provided to smoothly and safely construct a large section tunnel by corresponding to various ground layer conditions. CONSTITUTION: Right and left walls(11a,11b) are individually constructed after right and left sections of a tunnel are excavated at a predetermined depth. A roof structure(13) is constructed after a center section of the tunnel is excavated at the predetermined depth. The roof structure is comprised of an arch type beam, and both ends of the roof structure are fixed to an anchor plate(14) of right and left walls in order to be integrally connected. An inside section of the roof structure and the right and left walls are excavated in order to construct the tunnel.
