PURPOSE: An electrical connector is provided to absorb rotational moment applied to a contact member of the electrical connector when the electrical connector is connected to a mating connector, by providing a shell receiving portion, a housing, a rotation preventing portion, thereby preventing the contact member from being rotated. CONSTITUTION: Each of contact members(70) of a receptacle connector(60) includes a base portion(71), an arm portion(74), a contact section(72), a substrate connecting portion(73), a rotation preventing portion(75). The rotation preventing portions contact with the lower side of a portion of a housing(62), and a shell receiving portion(66) contacts with the upper side of the portion of the housing, such that it is possible to absorb a rotational moment to the contact portion. As a result, when a plug connector is connected to the receptacle connector, it is possible to prevent the contact members from being rotated relatively to the print circuit board. |
