PURPOSE: A method for providing an authentication process, a server for the same, a terminal thereof, and a recording medium for the same are provided to increase the level of security by offering a technique of safely inputting authentication information, thereby preventing loss of user assets due to hacking or ID stealing. CONSTITUTION: A server(110) includes an authentication screen provider(210), a character indication blinding processor(220), an input character determining unit(230), an authentication processing unit(240), and a service offering controller(250). The authentication screen provider controls the indications of an operation instructor which is moved by operation of a user and a keypad, which has a plurality of character indications, on an authentication screen. The character indication blinding processor controls the authentication screen so that each character displayed by the character indications of the keypad cannot to be identified when the operations to the operation instructor from the keypad are recognized. If the operation instructor is nested on or overlapped with a specific character indication of the keypad by being moved by the operation of the user, the input character determining unit determines a character which is displayed by the specific character indication as an input character for an authentication process. The authentication processing unit performs the authentication process of a service which delivers the input character to a terminal.
