PURPOSE: A feature point setting apparatus, an object tracking apparatus using the same and an object tracking method using the same are provided to calculate a variability representative value regarding a block by considering a surrounding pixel matrix of a feature point which is manually designated by a user. CONSTITUTION: A feature point defining unit(110) stores a feature point by receiving the feature point designated by a user about an input image. A block forming unit(120) forms a block centering a designated feature point in the input image. A variability representative value calculating unit(130) respectively calculates a variability representative value by frequency conversion of defined blocks. A feature point determining unit(140) re-designates a central point of a block having a highest variability representative value.
