A dishwasher is provided to improve convenience of use and increase space utilization by automatically discharging sewage in a sump. A dishwasher comprises a main body having a washing tub, a sump(13) in the washing tub, an impeller(21) for pumping washing water in the sump, an impeller casing(24) having an impeller loading unit, a sub passage(24d), and a sewage chamber. The sub passage placed at the impeller casing selectively guides a main passage(24c) for guiding the washing water to the washing tub when the washing water is pumped out and the washing water. The sewage chamber, which is communicated with the main passage, collects sewage included in the washing water passing the main passage. The main passage, the sub passage, and the sewage chamber are integrally formed in the impeller casing. |
