METHOD FOR JOINING POLYVINYL ALCOHOL RESIN FILM, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING POLARIZING FILM

PURPOSE: A joint method for poly vinyl alcohol based resin film and a polarizing film manufacturing method are provided to equip a joint part which is appropriate for processing immersion in a chemical solution. CONSTITUTION: A joint method for poly vinyl alcohol based resin film comprises the following steps: absorbing the interface side of an overlapped area in one or more sides of first and second poly vinyl alcohol based resin films(1) to make the depth of the area between 101% and 110% with respect to the depth of the area in a dried condition; overlapping the first and second poly vinyl alcohol based resin films; and radiating laser light with peak wavelength between 1.9μm and 2.2μm in the absorbed area to absorb the laser light into water in the absorbed area and laser-depositing the interface of the overlapped area.
