A control circuit device for a digital device and a power control method of the digital device using the same are provided to supply an SoC(System on a Chip) capable of using an STR(Suspend To RAM(Random Access Memory)) technique capable of reducing leakage currents without using a special external processor. A control circuit device for a digital device comprises the followings: an external memory(20); an SoC(System on a Chip) unit(10); a power unit(40); and operation buttons(50,51) which receive power from a backup power unit(42) and generates a power supply/cut-off instruction signal. The SoC unit comprises the followings: a built-in processor(108); a memory controller(106) for setting the external memory to a self refresh mode; and an SoC power controller(100) which outputs a first control signal for switching SoC main power and outputs a second control signal for switching external memory power. The power unit comprises the followings: the SoC backup power unit for supplying power to the SoC power controller; an SoC main power unit(46) for supplying/cutting off main power of the SoC according to the first control signal; and an external memory power unit(44) for supplying/cutting off power of the external memory. |
