PURPOSE: Torque control apparatus and a method of a wind power turbine using a nonlinearity parameter of a rotor speed is provided to improve output power by increasing a response speed of a generator. CONSTITUTION: A torque command generation unit generates a torque command. An error calculation unit calculates an error among reference inputs of a generator rotation speed. A real time calculation unit calculates a nonlinearity parameter of a rotor speed in real time. A proportional control unit calculates a torque to be additionally supplied. The torque is generated by multiplying a gain constant to the error and parameter values.
