The invention relates to a method for calculating a guideline for adding a reducer fluid, via an appropriate adding means (5), into an exhaust line of a combustion engine (1). Said method is characterized by the following steps: assessing the pressure in the exhaust line at the point where the reducer fluid is added; assessing the pressure of the reducer fluid at the inlet of the adding means (5); and calculating the adding guideline on the basis of the pressure within the exhaust line and the pressure of the reducer fluid.
