The element (1) has two panels (3) interconnected by an articulation unit, where the element is made of polypropylene. A fixing unit (9) fixes cables (19) and/or pipes on the panels. The panels and the articulation unit are integrally formed such that the articulation unit forms hinge zones (5). The hinge zones have thickness less than that of the panels. The panels are made of a material having rigidity greater than that of material of the hinge zones. Edges of the panels are arranged adjacent to each other when the panels are mounted on a vehicle. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for assembling a fairing element under a body of a vehicle (2) a method for assembling a fairing element to carry cables and/or pipes under a body of a vehicle.
