The completely modular window system (1) has a window (10) provided as installation element, a frame connector (60) and insulation elements (54 to 57). The installation elements are prefabricated such that the elements are mounted in a building opening (80) without finishing. A clip system is provided for exact positioning of the window in the building opening. The clip system has a clip strip (40) and an undercut groove (21) that is embedded in a frame (20) of the window. An independent claim is included for a method for mounting a completely modular window system.
