<p>Many storage apparatuses are used to allow a large number of files of various sizes to be stored, with single-point-of-failure factors in the system reduced.A storage service provision apparatus (3) provides a service to store a file by means of a plurality of storage apparatuses (4) connected therewith over a network. A file to be written is divided into one or more pieces of data, and object identification information is assigned to each data component of the file (block object). Information for constructing the file using data of each block object (a management information object) is created, and object identification information is assigned to the management information object. Each block object and the management information object are then transmitted to and stored on their respective storage apparatuses (4) of the plurality of storage apparatuses (4) determined based on their own object identification information.</p> |
