PURPOSE: An external use skin composition containing a theanine derivative as an active ingredient is provided to ensure antioxidation, anti-wrinkling, skin barrier strengthening, immunity enhancement, skin moisturization, and atopy treatment. CONSTITUTION: An external use skin composition contains 0.0001-20 wt% of a theanine derivative of chemical formula 1 or 2 as an active ingredient. The composition promotes expression of keratin 1 gene, transglutaminase 1 gene, and filaggrin gene. The composition also regulates intracellular calcium mobilization.
