PURPOSE: A terminal device for audio pairing and a method thereof are provided to execute pairing for a wireless communication without special control with a terminal device and a remote controller. CONSTITUTION: An infrared reception unit(210) receives an infrared signal including the first identification information of an external device. A communication unit(220) executes wireless communication with the external device transmitting the infrared signal including the first identification information. A storage unit(230) stores a pairing purpose including the identification information of one or more external devices. A control unit(240) controls the communication unit to execute pairing for the wireless communication with the external device according to a result in which a pairing purpose related to the received first identification information is stored in the pairing list.
