PURPOSE: A cable resistance determination device of high-power POE(Power Over Ethernet) networks and a method thereof are provided to offer high accuracy by enabling PSE(Power Sourcing Equipment) to plan power assignment between the powered devices. CONSTITUTION: First supply power generates a first current supplied through a first and a second output terminal of PSE. Second supply power generates a second current supplied through a third and a fourth of the PSE. A current modulation circuit(216) generates the offset power between the first supply power and the second supply power by offsetting the second current from the first current. The current modulation circuit offsets the second current from the first current by using a variable resistance switch controlling the second current.
