590581 A seismic clip (10) is disclosed for bridging a gap (36) between grid tees (27, 28) of a suspended ceiling. The clip has a cruciform shape formed by four integral arms. The arms have an inverted U shape cross section to fit over the reinforcing bulb (26) of intersecting grid tees. At least one of the arms has a longitudinally extending fastener slot allowing a fastener (37) to be received through the slot and anchored to the bulb (26) of the tee. The slot is arranged to allow the respective grid tee (27) to telescope within the arm in the event of an unusual force being applied such as during an earthquake.
