<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine the mounting direction of a surface mounting component having a polarity, without causing deterioration of connection characteristics between the electrode of a surface mounting component and the electrode pad on a printed wiring board. <P>SOLUTION: A printed wiring board 1 on which a surface mounting component 101 having a polarity is mounted includes a pair of electrode pads 13, 14 disposed while spaced apart from each other and with which a pair of electrodes of the component 101 are electrically connected, respectively, and a cover layer 12 having openings 12a, 12b for partially exposing the pair of electrode pads 13, 14, respectively. A portion 13b of one electrode pad 13 covered by the cover layer 12 has a shape different from that of a portion 14b of the other electrode pad 14 covered by the cover layer 12. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
