<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electro-optical module capable of efficiently releasing heat generated at an electro-optical panel by utilizing a frame portion of a frame provided around the electro-optical panel, and further to provide an electronic apparatus provided with the electro-optical module. <P>SOLUTION: In an electro-optical module 10, a first groove 61c is formed on a frame portion 61 of a frame 60, an opening 61d of the first groove 61c is covered by a second plate-like cover 70 and a first hollow ventilation passage 191 of which both ends are in opened states is partitioned off. Further, a second groove 62c is formed on a frame portion 62 of the frame 60, an opening 62d of teh second groove 62c is covered by a second plate-like cover 70 and a second hollow ventilation passage 192 of which both ends are in opened states is partitioned off.
