<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power generation apparatus requiring only a low installation cost and a small installation area. <P>SOLUTION: The power generation apparatus comprises: a photoelectric conversion layer 2 including a light-receiving surface and a back surface thereof; first and second photoelectric conversion electrodes 4 and 5 for outputting the photovoltage of the photoelectric conversion layer; and a plurality of cells 7 provided on the back surface side of the photoelectric conversion layer. The plurality of cells 7 has a function as a fuel cell, and each of the plurality of cells 7 includes a first cell electrode 9, a second cell electrode 10, a solid polymer electrolyte membrane 8 sandwiched between the first cell electrode and the second cell electrode, a first channel 13 capable of supplying a reducing material to the first cell electrode 9, and a second channel 14 capable of supplying an oxidizing material to the second cell electrode 10. The solid polymer electrolyte membrane 8 is provided so that the solid polymer electrolyte membrane 8 conducts an ion-conducting species in a direction substantially parallel to the light-receiving surface of the photoelectric conversion layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
