A HORESE NOVEL GENE HOMOLOGOUS TO CREB/ATF BZIP(CREBZF)

PURPOSE: A novel horse gene with CREB/ATF bZIP(CREBZF) homology is provided to improve exercise capacity by regulating growth, racing ability, running ability, breeding ability, and immunity. CONSTITUTION: A novel horse gene is isolated from horse blood or muscle and contains a nucleotide sequence of sequence number 1. A nucleic acid molecule encoding a protein with CREB/ATF bZIP(CREBZF) homology is selected from the group consisting of nucleic acid molecules containing a nucleotide sequence of sequence number 1. The isolated nucleic acid molecule contains a nucleotide sequence encoding a protein having 85% or more homology with an amino acid sequence of human CREB/ATF bZIP(CREBZF).
