PURPOSE: A device for providing an augmented reality service and a method thereof are provided to offer the display information of an augmented reality service to a user. CONSTITUTION: A control unit(100) confirms one or more display information by considering augmented reality service screens comprising adjacent information. The control unit constructs a guide screen by considering recognizable display information. A display unit(120) additionally displays the guide screen at a part of the augmented reality service screen. The control unit constructs an augmented reality service screen by using adjacent information including the location information or the movement information of the portable terminal.
