<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rail polishing device capable of polishing a tread of a rail with a soft touch and surely removing, for example, only rust on the tread of the rail. <P>SOLUTION: A rail polishing device 20 is provided with a polishing head 21 for polishing a tread 2a of a rail 2 by bringing a polishing belt 27 driven in a predetermined movement direction into contact with the tread 2a. The rail polishing device 20 comprises: a substrate 23 for supporting the polishing belt 27 in a position above the tread 2a of the rail 2; a guide mechanism 30 for guiding the substrate 23 to be movable in the vertical direction; an air cylinder 34 for providing a force pushing down the substrate 23; and springs 41, 42 for providing a force pushing up the substrate 23. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
