<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allocate an appropriate storage device as a storage area for storing a new dataset. <P>SOLUTION: An information processor for applying data processing to datasets that are stored respectively in multiple storage devices comprises: a collection part that collects access data showing a content of access to each of the storage devices; a calculation part that, in response to a request to secure a storage area for storing a new dataset, calculates a predictive change in an access frequency to each of the storage devices on the basis of the access data for each of the storage units; and a selection part that selects one storage device out of the storage devices on the basis of the predictive change for each storage device, so as to secure the storage area for storing the new dataset. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
