PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable deciding the approval or disapproval of operation in a maintenance mode with improved security than ever, without need of storing information related to an operator.

SOLUTION: A multifunctional device 1 includes: a communication unit 102 for receiving a total maintenance time stored in a communication terminal device 31 from the communication terminal device 31; a control unit 101 for operating the multifunctional device 1 by switching between the maintenance mode and a normal operation mode; an approval reference time storage unit 103 for storing an approval reference time in which a switchover to the maintenance mode is permitted; and a decision unit 104 for deciding whether or not the total maintenance time reaches the approval reference time. When the decision unit 104 decides the total maintenance time reaches the approval reference time, the control unit 101 operates the multifunctional device 1 by switching over to the maintenance mode.
