PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent inconsistency in printed matters ejected and paper ejection jam without impairing convenience for a user even when a non-genuine product is used for replacement component.

SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 100 includes: an image forming unit 103 that forms images; a non-genuine product determination unit 101a that determines whether or not a toner cartridge 108a that is a replacement component of the image forming unit 103 is a non-genuine product; and a control unit 101 that controls the image forming unit 103. When the non-genuine product determination unit 101a determines that the toner cartridge 108a of the image forming unit 103 is a non-genuine product, the control unit 101 limits a part of paper ejection functions such as a fullness detection function and an offset ejection function.
