The present invention relates to a device and method for coding/decoding a multi-view depth image. Before coding or decoding depth image blocks, a coding device according to an aspect codes corresponding color image blocks, determines whether the coded color image blocks are static regions or dynamic regions, and codes only depth image blocks corresponding to the dynamic regions and not the static regions. Then, a decoding device receives and decodes the coded depth image blocks if the depth image blocks correspond to the dynamic regions, and performs recovery by using a reference image if the depth image blocks correspond to the static regions.
