The invention relates to a method for refining fibres in an aqueous suspension (1), in which method the fibres are loaded mechanically in a plurality of refining gaps (2), wherein the refining gaps (2) are formed in each case by two refining surfaces (3) which are moved relative to one another, are positioned against one another, and of which at least one refining surface (3) rotates about an axle (4). Here, the quality of the fibres and of a fibrous web produced from them is to be influenced as efficiently as possible by virtue of the fact that the rotational speed of at least one rotating refining surface (3) is controlled in a manner which is dependent on at least one parameter of the fibrous web which is produced from the fibres and/or the average fibre length. |
