摘要 <p>A standard PVB Interlayer is to be clear in colour and 0.38 mm thick. The annealed Transparent Solid Prismatic Soda Lime Glass Ceramic has three times natural flexural strength also known as modulus of rupture, bend strength, or fracture strength of 123 N/mm2 than ordinary float glass of 40 N/mm2, therefore with lamination it will provide 6 to 8 times strength when compared to tempered and laminated ordinary float glass. This interlayer prevents the glass from disintegrating when broken and will enable the annealed Transparent Solid Prismatic Soda Lime Glass Ceramic to block out 100% of the sun's UV rays without the need for specialised coatings. This is based on the fact that unlaminated annealed Transparent Solid Prismatic Soda Lime Glass Ceramic with thickness between 4.98 mm and 2 cm blocks 21 % to 4.1 % of UV rays respectfully; this is coupled with the fact that 69.5 to 33.3% of solar heat transmission is blocked within the quoted range of glass thickness and a maximum temperature of 20.1 degrees centigrade according to EN ISO 1 182 from a surface temperature of 782 degrees centigrade over forty minutes. The annealed Transparent Solid Prismatic Soda Lime Glass Ceramic remains transparent and intact in the event of a fire with temperatures up to 1200 degrees centigrade.</p>
