<p>Disclosed are a method and a system for achieving service continuation during the update of medium plane, wherein the method comprises: during the update of the medium plane, a proxy of call session control function (P-CSCF) on the call starting side, after it receives a message offered by a session description protocol (SDP offer), informing the gateway of the call starting side to open the updated port via the policy and charging rule function (PCRF) entity on the call starting side; and after the update of the medium plane is finished, the gateway on the call starting side closing the port before update. The present invention can avoid the interruption of downlink medium data when the ports are switched during the update of the medium plane.</p> |
