<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wearing article wherein the touch of the outer surface of a diaper is soft, and which presents a soft impression even in appearance. <P>SOLUTION: This wearing article 1 includes an exterior body 11 having an outer layer sheet 12 forming the outer surface and an inner sheet 13. At least one of a belly side part A and a back side part B has: a west region A1 formed with a waist gather by elastic members 91 fixed to the outer layer sheet 12; a lower abdominal region A3 formed with a lower abdominal gather G3 by elastic members 91 fixed to the outer layer sheet 12; and an upper abdominal region A2 positioned between the regions A1, A3, and not fixed with an elastic member 12 to the outer layer sheet 12.
