<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To overlap and join ends of rubber members with each other by increasing a joining area, thereby achieving the joining at a joining area smaller than that used conventionally. <P>SOLUTION: A joining device is provided for overlapping one end 71 of a rubber member (tire component) 70 on top and the other end 72 on the bottom, and then joining the ends of the rubber member 70. A pressing roller (disk-shaped roller) 45 rotating around an inclined axis is rolled while being pressed against the overlapped top-side end 71 of the rubber member 70, and the top-side end 71 is stretched by the shearing force generated at such time, thereby increasing the joining area between both ends 71, 72. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
