<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst for steam-reforming hydrocarbon-based gases which retains the original conversion ratio of hydrocarbons for the main reaction while controlling the generation of ammonia and the deposition of carbon. <P>SOLUTION: In the steam reforming catalyst for steam-reforming a hydrocarbon-based gas containing nitrogen, the support is α-alumina, and rhodium or its alloy is supported in the support as a catalyst metal. The catalyst metal is preferably a rhodium alloy formed by alloying rhodium with one of nickel, cobalt, lanthanum and platinum, more preferably in a ratio of rhodium(Rh) to the metal(M), Rh:M, of (1:3) to (19:1). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
