A HORESE NOVEL GENE HOMOLOGOUS TO ZTBT12 CONTAINING ZINC FINGER DOMAINS

PURPOSE: A novel gene containing a horse zinc finger domain and BTB domain with ZBTB12 homology is provided to improve running ability, breeding ability, and immunity in a horse by regulating a transcription regulation network using a protein containing a zinc finger domain with ZBTB12 homology. CONSTITUTION: A novel horse gene is isolated from horse blood or muscle and contains a nucleotide sequence of sequence number 1. A nucleic acid molecule encoding a novel protein containing a horse zinc finger domain with ZBTB12 homology is selected from nucleic acid molecules containing a nucleotide sequence of sequence number 1. The isolated nucleic acid molecule contains a nucleotide sequence encoding a protein with 95% or more homology with a mammalian ZBTB domain. A polypeptide forming the protein containing the zinc finger domain with ZBTB12 homology or a part thereof contains an amino acid sequence of sequence number 2. The novel protein contains the polypeptide or a part thereof.
